You can participate in the competition described below. All you need is to leave a good comment. “Good” doesn’t mean a long, big, huge comment or else. It only means, that your comment should be relevant and natural. You might need to read the comment policy.
How to Win?
NB! I’ve made the competition easier.
- The better comment you leave, the better chances you have to be noticed by other commenters;
- Little tip: if you reply to other comments, your chances to be noticed increase;
- You should have some nice gravatar assigned to your specified email. It, definitely, plays a role! You can get one here;
- Be natural. Like or dislike other commenters pressing the appropriate buttons (thumb up’s/thumb down’s) under each comment. Everything comes back to you like a boomerang;
- You can comment on any post published within a current month. The easier way is to check the archives;
- By the end of the competition month I make a list of those, who have at least 1 positive vote. Those three commenters, who have the biggest number of votes – win. Here’s the roundup for Jan. 2010. NB! The January roundup has the old terms of MIC competition;
What winners get?
1. All 3 of you get a “do follow” link on iWoodpecker’s home page to your blog, or website, or twitter profile etc. It may include your keywords. And it will look like this :
2. The best commenter can get a free banner, that I will make for him for free. Of course, if you wish :) Look again at the pic above or check the home page of iWoodpecker.
3. The best commenter can use 125×125 ad spot until the end of the next competition. You can send me your own banner or use the one I’ll make for you. Choose it.
4. The best commenter gets a review of his or her blog. Of course, I’ll mention why he or she is worthy being the M.I.C. See the latest review of Ileane Smith, who became MIC #1 in January.
5. The competition begins at the beginning of a month and lasts until the end of the month.

Martin,
SU and Delicious are good, but not this time. May be in February.
Good luck!
Allan, i believe you are on you way to being a fantastic blogger. This is a generous offer. How much weight will reposting your post on article directories or other websites. Does that count?
ppo´s last awesome post ..PPO Insurance and Plans and deductibles
There’s no point in reposting on other websites except the described ones, because it would be too complicated.
Thanks for asking!
I am always up for a good blog contest and I commend you for a good idea to increase comments as well as traffic. I have done similar things in the past and it is impactful indeed. I voted you up on blog engage. that is the only one from the list that I use.
Tycoon Blogger´s last awesome post ..Best social networking communities for bloggers
Alan this is really very nice reward to the best commentators. I will try to leave valuable comment on your blog. Just keep writing valuable content on your blog.
Well Alan I have listed your blog on my most favorite blog list on my latest blog post.
chandan´s last awesome post ..Most favorite blogs of work at home blogger
I’m not interested in participating, but great idea to get comments & traffic to your blog.
Good luck to those partaking.
I run something similar over at my blog home. One thing I may suggest is having the winner host their own banner ad image on their server, it just less stuff on your server. No big deal really I guess.
Ms. Freeman@ The Baby Steps of an Internet Entrepreneur´s last awesome post ..A Plea On Behalf of Haiti
Ms. Freeman,
Thanks for that tip, but I think it’s really no big deal:)
Please, note!
The terms from now are completely different. I’ve added a little bit of reasonableness and justice. So, enjoy it.
Tips for Comments:
Read the tips before you hit the "Submit" button.
NB! Though your name links are nofollow, I can make your ComLuv links dofollow - manually. And I will make them dofollow, if you show your most relevant recent post.
1. Try to add value;
2. Don't be another "congratulator";
3. Use your real name or promotional name, not keywords;
4. Do not use "name@keywords", there is no "keyword love" plugin here;
5. Try to be polite, where it's possible;
6. Do not agree with everything - that sounds and looks ridiculous;
7. If you wish to leave some link to one of your posts, or to some other - make sure the source is relevant;
8. Use advantages of CommentLuv on this blog. Show your most relevant recent blog post;
9. Share your opinion even if it is contrary to mine;
10. Check twice your grammatical errors;
PS. Full Comment Policy is on my About Me page.
