A great list.
It is going to take me a month of Sundays to go through these.

BTW, I would double check the links. THe Yahoo directory link is not working

Hey Allan,

I almost missed this one. Real good list. I added a Digg (for the blog directory post too). I think that feedburner should update all of these at once, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Great job.

Dear ileane,

I’m not sure about feedburner, because it’s more like an application (not directory), that you use for yourself. And it’s not social, it’s private, since it hasn’t any public features at their web.

Thanks for your comments. You’re one of the first ones, who makes me proud of my work. *Happy smile*

That’s a very nice list. If I’m lucky I will add my blog’s rss feed to all these sites in the same amount of time. Thanks. BTW, I did Digg it!

ppo,

Thank you very much!
It is not http://www.4guysfromrolla.aspin.com, but http://4guysfromrolla.aspin.com.

The list is updated.

Thanks for this List Allan,

I didn’t even know their were Directories for RSS. I have already submitted to the first several on the list, although I had a problem with the very first one because I didn’t understand what they actually wanted. They said not to link to the normal RSS but only to a resource rss that had products and things. I had no idea what they were talking about. Can you enlighten me on that at all?

Damon,

Do you mean the http://www.codango.com? I don’t see there any problem at all.. :)

I’ve submitted my RSS to all of them and what you mostly have to do is to submit your RSS feed link, website name, website’s URL and sometimes descriptions.

Thanks for the quick response Allan,

Yes, it is codango that I was confused by. Specifically this part:

RSS files are commonly used for news syndication; however, please do not post your RSS news file here. Create and maintain a separate Resource RSS file that is only used to maintain a list of static resources found on your website… things like products (free or commercial), articles, tutorials, and references. This is the Resource RSS file we are looking for. Any RSS files that does not meet this standard will be dropped.

To me this is saying they do not want my normal RSS feed, but some special resource feed, which I don’t have. Any idea?

Damon,

I’ve submitted everywhere my Feedburner link – http://feeds.feedburner.com/iwoodpecker , because this is what I want them to track.

And it was accepted btw.

I use my feedburner link as well. I guess I can just submit it and see if they drop it at some point. Have you noticed any visitor referrals to your blog from any of these RSS directories yet?

Ya, that would be some valuable information for your readers to maybe do an update at 3, 6 and 12 months just to see if you have gotten a bump in traffic as a direct referral from any of these directories. Both the blog and rss directories. Maybe as time goes by, you may have a few that stand out in terms of traffic referrals over the others.

Tips for Comments:

Read the tips before you hit the "Submit" button.

NB! Though your name links are nofollow, I can make your ComLuv links dofollow - manually. And I will make them dofollow, if you show your most relevant recent post.

1. Try to add value;

2. Don't be another "congratulator";

5. Try to be polite, where it's possible;

6. Do not agree with everything - that sounds and looks ridiculous;

7. If you wish to leave some link to one of your posts, or to some other - make sure the source is relevant;
